The GP registrar suspended under emergency powers after his anti-vaccine protest at the AMA conference in July has been booted from his GP training program.

Dr William Bay’s tirade at Chief Medical Officer Professor Paul Kelly, who was presenting by video link, led to his suspension for having “publicly demeaned and denigrated” other doctors.

Dr Bay accused Professor Kelly of “gaslighting” the profession and urged conference attendees to “join with the people of Australia and stop forcing these vaccines on people who are getting killed by them”.

Now, he has shared a letter from General Practice Training Queensland saying he is “no longer” eligible for his place on the GP training program, as he no longer has general medical registration and because the “RACGP has cancelled, terminated or suspended [his] membership”.
