Three youths had driven to Dr Luping Zeng's house to steal his car

A teenager who shot and killed a GP has been sentenced to 10 years in jail for the “cowardly, callous and senseless'' murder.

Dr Luping Zeng, who practiced at the Waterford 7-Day Medical Centre in Brisbane, was shot in the abdomen as he was coming down the stairs in his garage late on 15 April last year.

The teenager and two men had driven to Dr Zeng's home intending to steal his car.
