Updates this month include the addition of newly eligible groups for disability assessments and referrals and amended descriptors for Indigenous health assessment items.
From 1 March, stuttering, speech sound disorders — including articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech and dysarthria — and cleft lip and palate will be added to the list of eligible disabilities for GP health assessment, plan and allied health referral (item 92142).
Indigenous health assessment descriptors will also be updated to remove requirements to perform aged-based clinical activities.
