So just how much time did it take trying to complete your medical registration through the revamped AHPRA portal this year?

Based on our survey — admittedly a self selected sample, so it’s always worth being cautious with the extrapolations — it was an average of two hours and 22 minutes among the 1133 who took part.

We ran the survey because of the number of doctors reporting brain bleeds, much of the blood resulting from dealing with AHPRA’s new demand for multi-factor authentication.

In total, the survey cohort spent 2687 hours doing their rego — the equivalent of about 10,750 average GP consults.
