The best of AusDoc at 40: A weird and wonderful day in the life of Dr Fog and our other readers
This year AusDoc celebrated its 40th birthday.
We asked one of our long-time columnists Dr Jon Fogarty to write a day in his life as a GP back in 1984, a time for many when Australia reached a cultural zenith with Bob Hawke, big hair and AC/DC.
But we also asked you to tell us about your most memorable day as a doctor.
The resulting stories offered a lot of humour (mixed with a lot of medical emergencies) but all of them reflected your contribution to medicine’s fundamental social good.
