It has been a great week for vice-presidents.

On Wednesday, the AMA revealed that GP Dr Danielle McMullen would take over from Professor Steve Robson as president, having spent the past two years as his deputy.

The organisation has been embroiled in a damaging family dispute after ejecting 5000 members in WA four months ago.

But that is just one of the big issues facing the medical profession.
