When Dr Amandeep Hansra graduated, she struggled to pick a specialty.
“One week I wanted to be a surgeon, the next week I wanted to be an infectious diseases physician, the week after that I wanted to be a GP.”
Eventually, she chose general practice but with a twist.
Even when treating asylum seekers on Christmas Island or working at an Aboriginal Medical Service, she kept thinking about the health system as a whole.
