The KFP meltdown: RACGP reaches confidential settlement with software company four years later

The RACGP has settled out of court with a software company nearly four years after a remote exam meltdown lost the college millions of dollars.
The confidential settlement with Genix Ventures relates to the October 2020 Key Feature Problem (KFP), when 1400 registrars taking the exam from home were left traumatised after it was aborted because of technical issues.
The exam — already delayed three months due to COVID-19 — crashed around 40 minutes after the first group of registrars started.
It took four hours for the RACGP to call off the exam while registrars agonised over whether to contact the college and risk an automatic fail for using their phones under exam conditions.
