‘Three strikes and rethink’ approach for GPs in wake of 27-year-old’s death
GPs in England have been asked to adopt a ‘three strikes and rethink’ approach when seeing patients whose condition has deteriorated after a number of appointments.
The initiative, called Jess’ Rule, was developed by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and NHS England following the death of 27-year-old Jessica Brady in 2020.
