Seven psychiatric wards in public hospitals are set to close temporarily due to mass resignations of over 200 psychiatrists in NSW

In total, some 71 beds will be closing at Westmead Hospital and Cumberland Hospital, the state’s largest mental health facility.

According to the ABC, the NSW Government plans to offset this loss by opening 84 replacement beds, with 46 in private hospitals.
