A few years ago, Dr Nic Giummarra felt he could make a real difference in his patients’ lives for the first time.
A GP on Queensland’s Magnetic Island, he had various older patients for whom medications were not working.
“Most people came to me in their 50s and 60s with pain or mental health or inflammatory conditions,” he told AusDoc.
“The regular medications seemed to cause them so many side effects and little benefit.”
