What is life like for doctors and medical staff working in regions in Ukraine occupied by the Russian forces?
The following extract is from a Médecins Sans Frontières article.
To be clear, despite our efforts to obtain permission to access regions under Russian occupation, this access has not been granted; we have been unable to directly observe the situation in areas under Russian military control.Â
But we have collected information from the areas under attack (such as Mykolaiv, Apostolove) and areas formerly occupied by Russia and retaken by Ukrainian forces (the regions of Donetsk and Kherson).
