This Olympian turned politician has a mission: encouraging men to see a GP
Two metres tall with a red-and-white skunk-striped beard, the Federal Government’s “minister for men” looks like a man’s man.
Dan Repacholi hopes being “a normal bloke who wears board shorts” will help him get his messages across.
Messages like, “Getting up to go for a piss six times a night is not normal,” and, “Shitting through the eye of a needle the whole time is not normal either.”
“There are so many treatable diseases that men are dying from way too early because they have been too stubborn to see a doctor when they have known within themselves that something is not right,” Mr Repacholi tells AusDoc.
