‘This email could save your life’: GP diagnoses melanoma while watching news

GP Dr Graeme Siggs is in line for a “beer and a hug” after he diagnosed a potentially deadly melanoma while watching the nightly ABC News bulletin.
The Adelaide GP and skin cancer specialist noticed a suspicious looking lesion on the cheek of Queensland professor Daniel Angus, who was being interviewed 2000km away in Brisbane about online gambling advertising.
Following the interview, Dr Siggs turned to Google to find contact details of the communications expert to alert him to the potential melanoma.
In that process of online searching, he discovered lots of images of Professor Angus’ face going back several years.
