Thousands of doctors ‘sitting ducks’ without vax booster

A leading hospital group is calling for the urgent approval of booster COVID-19 vaccinations for healthcare workers immunised in the early phases of the rollout

Thousands of vaccinated doctors and nurses are going to be “sitting ducks” due to waning immunity to COVID-19 unless booster vaccines are approved soon, warns a leading not-for-profit healthcare group. 

Catholic Health Australia (CHA) is calling on ATAGI to urgently recommend booster doses to the “tens of thousands” of doctors and nurses in their network who were among the first Australians to be vaccinated in February.
