Three cases of allegedly unlawful psychedelic therapy ads under investigation

A clinic offering ketamine-assisted psychotherapy was also issued a warning.

The TGA is investigating three cases of allegedly unlawful MDMA and psilocybin advertising since the drugs were moved to S8 earlier this year.

The watchdog has not given details of the possible breaches, such as the companies or individuals involved or what claims were being made.

But it said it also issued a warning to Canberra clinic NeuEra, which offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, over unlawful advertising of therapeutic goods “such as ketamine, MDMA and psilocybin”.

The clinic made “prohibited representations” that the drugs could help patients with PTSD, anxiety and depression, the TGA said.
