Three more suspicious baby deaths at a UK hospital, review reveals

An NHS investigation has reportedly identified three suspicious child deaths at a UK hospital, where a nurse was previously arrested on suspicion of administering a poison.
The review of Birmingham Children’s Hospital was launched last year after colleagues raised concerns when a child in the paediatric ICU suddenly deteriorated on 18 May 2022.
The child died the next day, and a 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of administering poison with intent to harm, later that evening.
The review, run by the Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, has come to light shortly after nurse Lucy Letby was jailed for murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six more at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
