‘Tip of the iceberg’: GPs struggle to get second Pfizer dose

The case of a GP who couldn’t get her second Pfizer vaccine dose after her records went missing is likely to be the “tip of the iceberg”, warns the RACGP.
Dr Lisa Rogers works in aged care in Melbourne but she is struggling to get her second Pfizer vaccination dose within the necessary 21- to 42-day window because her first vaccination wasn’t uploaded to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
“There are lots of other [aged care] GPs out there that I know who have had only one dose and can’t get their second,” Dr Rogers told ABC News this week.
“We’re not on anybody’s list, we’re not on anybody’s radar unfortunately.”
