Top doctor slams anti-vax stance of NRL player’s wife

Celebrities are often 'not equipped' to give health advice, which could threaten the lives of children, says AMA president

The AMA has slammed celebrities promoting anti-vax views as a threat to the lives of other Australian children after a WAG’s vaccination stance went public. 

AMA president Dr Tony Bartone was referring to comments made by Shanelle Cartwright, the 20-year-old wife of NRL Gold Coast Titan’s player Bryce Cartwright, who made known her plans not to immunise her children.
