Top doctor slams anti-vax stance of NRL player’s wife

The AMA has slammed celebrities promoting anti-vax views as a threat to the lives of other Australian children after a WAG’s vaccination stance went public.
AMA president Dr Tony Bartone was referring to comments made by Shanelle Cartwright, the 20-year-old wife of NRL Gold Coast Titan’s player Bryce Cartwright, who made known her plans not to immunise her children.
The social media celebrity, due to give birth to her second child shortly, posted on her Instagram account that neither of her children would be vaccinated when asked during a Q&A session whether her 13-month-old son, Koa, had been immunised.
“He’s not vaccinated — none of our babes will be,” she posted.
