Tributes for GP ‘legend’ Professor Dennis Pashen after unexpected death

GPs are lauding the “extraordinary legacy” of ACRRM and RDAA former president Professor Dennis Pashen after his death in a swimming accident on Thursday.
Professor Pashen, 70, retired from medicine last year after decades of work in Queensland and Tasmania, including as a founding member of ACRRM, which he led as president from 2007 to 2009.
Another former ACRRM and RDAA president, Dr Ewen McPhee, said Professor Pashen would cut through political “guff” with his “cheeky and pragmatic” nature.
“He has left behind an extraordinary legacy of good work,” Dr McPhee said.
