Women with a higher BMI have an increased rate of twin deliveries – an association which is partly explained by their greater use of assisted reproductive technology, Canadian researchers say.

Authors from University of British Columbia in Vancouver included over 392,000 deliveries (gestational age of ≥20 weeks) in their analysis with data from a Canadian birth registry between 2008-20.
