‘Unfunded bureaucracy’: GP says college largely ignored warnings on accreditation standards
A GP practice owner says his claims that the RACGP’s new accreditation standards would add unnecessary administrative burdens was largely ignored during consultation.
“Accreditation should not be a hobby horse for people to hoist their personal beliefs or add more unfunded bureaucracy on private businesses,” Dr Nick Tellis told AusDoc.
“Speaking to many other people in the sphere, the feedback they gave was not dissimilar to what I gave the college two years ago.”
The criticism has largely focused on the new standards aimed at reducing the environmental impact of practices.
