Warning: Patients putting GPs at risk of coronavirus

Patients suspected of having COVID-19 are continuing to place doctors and other patients at risk by fronting up to medical practices unannounced.
AMA Queensland president Dr Dilip Dhupelia said people were not heeding the message to call, and not visit, their GP if they had fallen ill within 14 days of returning from overseas.
“If you return from overseas and have any symptoms of a respiratory illness, you should not front up to a doctor or emergency department,” he said.
The warning comes as news emerges that two Sydney doctors have contracted the illness.
