New figures finally show which medical schools support general practice as a career choice, and now, AusDoc would love to know what your experience was like.

The GP colleges have compared the alma maters of the latest GP trainees with medical graduate numbers for 21 universities over 2019-2023 to estimate how many students from each university pursue a GP career.

James Cook University, the University of Notre Dame and the University of Wollongong were stand-outs, while most sandstone universities ranked poorly — except for the University of Tasmania.
