The TGA has provisionally approved a paediatric dose of the Moderna vaccine for children as young as six months old.
It is the first time a vaccine for the age group has received provisional approval in Australia.
However, Federal Minister for Health Mark Butler has warned that, even if ATAGI gives it the final nod, supply could be limited adn urged parent not to rush to GPs to make appointments.
A paediatric dose of SPIKEVAX would involve two doses of 25μg in a 0.25ml vial, 28 days apart.
