It seems that being forced to brand yourself as a ‘Medicare’ general practice is hated by most doctors.
Last month, we ran a survey on the Federal Government’s new rules that mean any practice claiming the 12.5% loading on Medicare rebates for universal bulk-billing has to put up posters and signs proclaiming they are a Medicare general practice.
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing has been sending out its own signage as part of the mandatory advertising requirements, ranging from a metre-wide decal to an A3 poster.
