‘We lost one of our own’: Doctor killed in wedding bus tragedy
Dr Rebecca Mullen was embarking on a ‘long and illustrious career in medicine’ before the tragic crash in NSW's Hunter Valley.
Dr Rebecca Mullen, a junior doctor just one year into her first medical posting, has been named as one of the passengers killed in the Hunter Valley wedding bus crash.
NSW Health Minister Ryan Park confirmed on Tuesday that Dr Mullen had died, saying the news “made a very dark day even darker for NSW Health”.
“We’ve lost one of our own,” Mr Park told reporters.
“Someone who was obviously going to have a long and illustrious career in medicine has been taken way too early.
