As a long-awaited doctor in a small town, Dr Tim Lane wondered whether the community would accept him and his family.

After Dr Tim Lane accepted a job in a small country town last year he made the decision to publicly share his family circumstances with the community before his arrival.

It was done via a social media post from the local health service announcing how thrilled it was to be finally appointing a permanent doctor for Clermont.
