After two years on the pandemic front line, this Friday Dr Mukesh Haikerwal will close down his respiratory clinic.

Based in Melbourne, it is arguably the best known COVID-19 clinic in Australia given his tireless, high-profile media campaign to awaken governments of all colours from their pandemic slumbers.

But after coming through the hard lockdowns and with the menace of the virus slowly subsiding, the clinic’s funding is being pulled by the Federal Government.

“There’s still a bit of grieving,” Dr Haikerwal says.
