Government funding for general practices has barely shifted since the Medicare freeze, the report shows.

Tuesday morning saw the release of the RACGP’s General Practice: Health of the Nation report.

It does a great job in its 73 pages to spread the gospel of general practice.

Based in part on the feedback of some 3000 GPs and GPs in training, the college says it offers an insight into what would happen to the health system if you provided the necessary investment in the specialty.

One depressing graph charts the per capita spending on general practice – a graph that still flatlines.
