Thinking outside of the box has proven a winner for one GP clinic, which has patients lining up for its tattoo removal service.
The Ainslie Family Practice in Canberra began offering tattoo removal in July, with the two sessions per week in high demand.
GP Dr Shilpa Dahal says most patients are in their 30s and want to remove visible tattoos, particularly on their arms, to improve their job prospects or because they “were over it”.
“We have had quite a few lower backs as well,” she said.
