Why handing GP training back to the colleges is starting to feel scary
Registrars, supervisors and medical educators are not being given enough information on what is happening, argues Paul Smith
It’s not just those of us on the outside who have questions about the GP training handover.
“There is a major risk that current registrars, supervisors and practices will have their training plans and systems significantly disrupted if the transition process is not managed effectively,” says ACRRM.
“In the worst case, a critical failure in transition of information could lead to registrars being unable to work or their completion of training requirements for fellowship being delayed.”
