The GP whose resignation from the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network board triggered a government investigation into its governance says the network has become a “tangled web of influential organisations, institutions and relationships”.

In recent weeks, the primary health network (PHN) has seen the resignation of its chair because of potential conflicts of interest and the loss of its two GP board directors: Dr Nicole Higgins and Dr Toni Weller.
