The most crackable computer password among health workers? It’s not ‘123456’ or even ‘password’
Above classics like ‘P@assw0rd’, the most commonly hacked healthcare password is ‘fabrizio19’, with ‘Asspain28#’ also cracking the top 20, a company says.
The list is based on datasets of hacked passwords from across the world, including those available on the dark web.
In most cases, the passwords were linked to email addresses, according to Dutch password manager company NordPass.
“When the systems protecting patient data are guarded by passwords like ‘123456’ or ‘P@ssw0rd’, that is a critical failure in cybersecurity hygiene,” said NordPass head of business product Karolis Arbaciauskas.
