Will med students be recruited for the COVID-19 vax program that excludes certain GPs?

GPs in unaccredited practices are not allowed to administer Australia’s COVID-19 vaccines but medical students could be, under plans being considered by the Victorian Department of Health.
The department wants to give medical students temporary authorisation to vaccinate while working under supervision, providing they complete vaccination training, the The Age newspaper reports.
Final-year pharmacy students would also be recruited to help prepare the vaccines for medical staff.
The report did not detail the stage of the vaccination rollout when they would be used.
