‘Women were gaslit and dismissed’: Govt apologises over mesh devices as patients wait for payouts

More than 1000 women affected by complications from vaginal mesh products have not been assessed for compensation, two years after the mammoth legal settlements.

Device makers Johnson & Johnson, Ethicon and Boston Scientific agreed to pay $405 million in compensation in settlements approved by the Federal Court of Australia in late 2022 and early 2023.
