Emeritus Professor Warwick Britton has spent a quarter of a century trying to make an inhaled TB vaccine work.

So you may be unsurprised to hear that the Sydney immunologist describes himself as an optimist.

“I always tell my students that the careful analysis of your failed experiments is just as important as the careful analysis of successful experiments,” he says.

“Sometimes you learn more from the failed experiments about what to do next time.
