Today marks one year since record-breaking floods swept through the NSW Northern Rivers region. But time has stood still since then for Lismore dermatologist Dr Ken Gudmundsen.

Here he describes his despair, depression and financial losses of more than half a million dollars, as he waited — and waited — for financial assistance, to trickle in to rebuild. 

6minutes: Can you describe what happened to your practice in the flood? 

Dr Gudmundsen: The water reached the ceiling of the first level — and we’ve got high ceilings as it’s an old building.
