‘You don’t want to die,’ says leading GP in pandemic plea

A leading Victorian GP has made a heartfelt plea to Australians to get vaccinated, saying the messaging needs to be crystal clear and as simple as “you don’t want to die”.
Dr Mukesh Haikerwal made the call at the Victorian Government’s daily COVID-19 press briefing on Thursday.
He appeared after it was revealed three of the state’s new mystery cases were from near his practice in Melbourne’s south west.
Two new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Thursday, on top of six cases reported on Wednesday.
