‘You’re a polished politician and I’m a bloody clinician’: Doctors in flare-up with hospital boss

Senior doctors have stormed out of a meeting with a hospital boss after being called “deaf” as debate heated up over a third review of the hospital’s culture.

Frustrations during the Q&A boiled over when Mr Mooney quipped that a senior doctor must be “deaf” in response to being asked whether he was responsible for the decision to appoint the consultancy firm Hoffmann Reed to conduct a review of workplace culture.
Mr Mooney had been invited by Australian Salaried Medical Officers’ Federation (ASMOF) Queensland to attend the meeting.
