‘130 patients a day’: Is assembly-line dermatology headed our way?

Dr Pam Rachootin.

My daughter in Toronto just shared how she arranged a timely dermatology appointment.

She had been to her GP, who was unable to diagnose her skin lesion.

She received a referral and was told that the anticipated wait time to see a dermatologist for a non-urgent appointment was 7-8 months.

Researching her options, she found a walk-in, rapid-access dermatology clinic advertised to see a limited number of patients on a first-come, first-served basis from 8-11am.
