From bullets to babies: The surprises just kept coming, surgeon reveals

How many true surprises are there in life? This was the question I asked my wife when she was pregnant with our first child and wanted to find out the baby’s gender (and I didn’t).
Now I’ve heard the counter argument that the gender of a baby is not a true surprise, because it’s either going to be (except in extremely unusual circumstances) an A or a B, so that essentially eliminates the surprise.
I wholeheartedly disagree for reasons I find very difficult to elucidate because I’m right and you’re wrong and shut up.
Regardless, I suspected my first child would be a girl. My wife “just knew” it was a boy.
