Bumfuzzle, tittynope? Why medicine needs more jargon
Doctors are often accused of speaking in jargon to the detriment of communication with patients.
But I would argue there just isn’t enough medical jargon to succinctly express all the dilemmas in which doctors find themselves.
We require an arsenal of colourful words that do justice to our unique predicaments.
I am keen to tackle this neglected linguistic field.
