A call from AHPRA made me value my patients even more
My most treasured possessions are relationships. And I advise all of you to write down snippets of the wonderful interactions you've had with your patients, and the positive comments you've received.
I regret not keeping all my patients’ thankyou cards, because, as I recently found out when AHPRA called, you may need to remember the high regard they have for you.
Take, yesterday, for example. A mother of a troubled teen said: “Thank you so much for the care plan. My daughter met the psychologist last week and she was lovely.”
