The following article by AMA president Professor Steve Robson is in response to Dr Paul Nisselle’s article.

First, I acknowledge the service and dedication that Dr Paul Nisselle has given the Australian Medical Association as a member over many years.

His distinguished membership and promotion of doctors’ ability to serve their patients, along with others who have provided such service, has helped to make the AMA what it is today, and we want to say thank you.

Secondly, we support Dr Nisselle’s right to express his opinion. His long history with the AMA and his credentials obviously show he cares for the AMA and give him the right to do so.
