Could a better diet save people and the planet?

Most fad diets are forgettable because they have one thing in common: they are not sustainable long term.
In January this year, the Lancet published its own diet, EAT-Lancet, with sustainability in mind.
But it was not about sustainability for the individual seeking improved health; rather, sustainability for the planet.
Combined with reductions in food waste and more efficient food production, EAT-Lancet was a way of maintaining a sustainable food system for 10 billion people in 2050.
