Dr Paul Nisselle: I was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in January, then something extraordinary happened

I’ve known for many years that I am ApoE3/ApoE4 heterozygous. My mother and both her sisters had Alzheimer’s disease.

In January this year, having just turned 82, I developed symptoms myself. I was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

Surprise, surprise!

I guess the chemotherapy for my Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2024 saved me but maimed me.
