Finally it’s the end of multiple inboxes, or so we’re told

As My Health Record continues to dominate headlines, an unnoticed — but important — e-health issue quietly ticks along in the background.
It is the attempt to link up the various secure messaging platforms GPs use so they can finally speak to each other. For many doctors, this would be a real IT revolution.
Last month Tim Kelsey, CEO of the Australian Digital Health Agency, delivered a keynote speech at a health conference in Sydney. It was, unsurprisingly, mostly about My Health Record, the number of people opting out (revealed the next day to be 2.5 million) and whether it has a useful future.
But secure messaging also got a shout-out.
