Is general practice too communist? We’re the only doctors not rewarded on experience

In 1875 Karl Marx wrote: “From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs.”
A doctor’s ability increases with each year of experience.
In fact, medical prowess probably zeniths at around age 53, if you’ll forgive me for turning a noun into a verb and turning my age into a zenith.
For at least a decade post-fellowship I notably improved as a GP. During consultations I became less frantic and responded at a deeper level to what patients were telling me. I now definitely give patients better value than when my FRACGP was fresh-minted.
