This summer, many parts of Australia have been experiencing hot days, hot nights and frequent and prolonged heatwaves.

WA temperatures broke heat records in parts of Gascoyne and the Central West, where temperatures reached nearly 50°C.

Heat has been breaking records and is not going away anytime soon.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Australian temperatures in 2023 were the equal eighth-warmest year on record, with the national mean temperature 0.98°C warmer than the 1961–1990 average.
